About the Tour

The Tour is presented by the anual aluCine Latin Film+Media Arts Festival, in partnership with the Indigenous School of Art/ Escuela indigena de las artes and the Bienal Intercontinental De Arte Indígena Milenario.

aluCine and the Bienal Intercontinental De Arte Indígena Milenario have entered in a three year collaboration agreement consisting in promoting Indigenous and Latin culture in both continents. For the first year our artistic director Sinara Rozo has been invited to present a program of films made by Canadian indigenous and Latin American filmmakers. The program entitled “Cine Norte / Cine Sur” is presented and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.

Our tour is one of our most important projects and it’s our goal to ensure that Indigenous audiences in Latin American have access to films made by local Indigenous and Latin-American artists!
