aluCine Latin Film+Media Arts Festival acknowledges that the land on which we gather and organize is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Today, this meeting place called Toronto is still home to many Indigenous peoples.

This territorial acknowledgment serves as a way to raise awareness and inspire reflection, both of which are essential in fostering meaningful relationships. It should not be seen as a final resolution, resignation, or acceptance of the ongoing structural effects of settler colonialism. The aluCine Festival is committed to continually asking what it means for us to maintain a spirit of ongoing inquiry into the complexities of our situation."
