At Southern Currents Film+Video Collective, our mission is to bring the vibrant world of contemporary Latin American arts to Toronto and share it with audiences from Canada and around the globe. We invite you to participate in this exciting journey and the city's most remarkable Latin Film, Arts, and Culture events.

Our two annual festivals serve as a beacon for emerging and established Latin artists residing in Canada, Latin America, and the diaspora. Through year-round screenings, symposiums, and workshops, we champion the development of Latin film and culture in Toronto. AluCine challenges the boundaries of aesthetics, ideology, and geography in everything we do. We seek to transcend conventional notions of representation, redefining how Latin American culture is perceived and celebrated in Canada.
