This year, our international shorts program explores the theme of "food" in all its rich and diverse forms. Food is intricately woven into the fabric of our lives, much like Awara Soup, a traditional dish from French Guiana made from ground peas, spices, and various meats or fish, all blended into a savory, hearty stew.

Using this "magic dish" as a starting point, our curated selection of films captures this essence in compelling ways. From the transformative storytelling in She Lives Close Enough to the journey of self-reliance in La Cosecha, and from cherished family recipes in Grandma's Food to the sense of community in Añay Kachi and Food, Funk, and Favela, this program invites you to engage your senses and discover new insights into the flavors and experiences that shape our world — all served up in a cinematic stew.
